I3 infrasolutions began their partnership with key contractors at Clarke Creek Wind Farm when early construction commenced in July 2022 about 150km North-West of Rockhampton. With multiple wind turbines now fully constructed, the hard work continues with i3 supplying many key elements for the earth grids, substations and HV switching systems. With specialist global brands being required for the project, i3 has engaged many international manufacturers to ensure some of the world’s best product is able to be installed by the electrical contractors we work closely with.
So far on this project, i3 has supplied over 10km of copper conductor for earthing with over 10,000kg of accessories for the network of earth grids. As well as the earthing, thousands of meters of power cable and support systems supplied by i3 have been installed on site. With only just over 10% of the total number of turbines being installed, the project has a big future.
